Prep Enrolment

At Tobruk Street Primary School we ensure that your child will feel a safe, secure and happy introduction to the school.

To enrol your child at the school please bring:

  • The completed Tobruk Street Primary School enrolment form (download here)

  • Proof of student age (Prep) – Eg birth certificate

  • Current immunization certificate / records

If eligible for Education Maintenance Allowance please bring along your current Health Care or Pension Card.


Prep Attendance Hours

Prep student attend Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (not Wednesday) until the end of February.
They will attend full weeks from the first Monday in March. This staggered start to school assists with their transition from pre-school to school life.

Teachers will use every Wednesday to conduct individual interviews with students and their families to get to know students personally and their abilities and interests.

Uniform Requirements

At Tobruk Street Primary School uniform is compulsory. School Council and the wider school community have endorsed this policy to ensure a sense of pride and community spirit.
Our uniform colours are navy blue, red and white. All uniform items can be purchased at the school office. The school has ensured items are affordable, comfortable and look smart on students.

  • Navy Hat – must be wide brimmed. To be worn in Term 1 and 4.

  • Polo Shirt – red or navy with logo (Purchase at school office).

  • Skivvy – red or navy

  • Navy Windcheater Splice Jacket – navy & red with school logo (Purchase at office).

  • Navy Shorts – plain navy with no stripes or pictures

  • Navy Pants – plain navy with no stripes or pictures

  • Dress – blue and white check (white collar and cuffs).

  • Socks - white

  • Shoes – white or black school shoes or runners


Parent Participation

Tobruk Street Primary School has a strong tradition of parent involvement and participation. We strongly believe and that children learn best when a partnership exists between home and school.
Parents are welcome to become involved in the school community through School Council, fundraising, school wide activities and assistance in classrooms.  Please speak to your child’s classroom teacher about opportunities to assist using your skills and interests to support learning.
